well idk about ya'll but i liked this, though rody's rants are too much most of the time

Kezia is supacrunk but they were so bad live it really left a bad impression.

I was actually looking forward to this... unfortunately though I agree with the review. Technically this band is awesome. The singer however is a bit off his game. Furthermore they miss a number of killer tracks from the first album. Nothing more than alright.

Yeah, they really shoulda brought out extra guitars for the proper tuning of the rest of kezia. Hell, they even forgot some of the great songs on Fortress... The song selection was just bad. Another live album will hopefully remedy everything, unfortunately the band has mentioned in an interview that they tend to focus on the latest release more than any, (abandoning old material if they want) meaning we may never hear most of the good tracks from Kezia, we may never hear the missing tracks from Fortress, it might just be new material or bust.

the Jurassic Park theme song near the end of the set totally redeemed any and all flaws of this dvd for me.

I'm not sure why anyone would expect Rody's performance to be better here. His vocal style is more or less impossible to pull off live, not least because of the amount of vocals in PTH songs/the lack of instrumental passages that give the vocalist a rest. On the albums the vocals are clearly something they've spent a lot of time on in the studio. They can't be pulled off in real time, and I don't think it's fair to expect as such. You would need to be a superhuman to pull off PTH's vocals live and consistently make them sound identical to the studio versions.

Also, the review said the instruments are tight. I'm not sure - the drummer misses out lots of fills from the studio versions. I'm not expecting him to play everything note for note (although, in contrast to Rody, he should be able to), but he could at least improvise a fill that's better than or as good as the original. Instead he just half-asses it, or sounds all over the place and borderline off-time (2:15-2:30 Blindfolds Aside for example). Chris Adler is far superior at any rate.

there's no excuse for rody's performance. you can tell he's drunk off his ass and couldn't care less. moe also was rushing and dragging in some sections. bad bad album
