Indeed he does, but I don't like his "One band, one five" politic

Nag's review rules, but I disagree hard with it, much like JT disagreed with his review of CttB.

Oh for the love of the metal gods, don't even start comparing this to anything Metallica after the Black Album.

No way is this DPs Technical Ecstasy. The band is still great on this one and there are three really great songs included here. Technical Ecstasy is more uninspired than this one.

When a band has albums like 'In Rock' and 'Machine Head,' fans expect a certain standard. The fourth and final release by MK. II is a huge drop in quality, but it still has some good moments. The main reason this album is a disappoint because it abandons hard rock in favour of blues rock, pop rock, and boogie. No more crunchy riffs like Speed King, Bloodsucker or Smoke on the Water. The singing here is less dynamic and the drumming is toned way down.

The only real classic track is 'Rat Bat Blue,' which has a memorable riff and a fantastic organ solo by Lord. 'Woman From Tokyo' has always been popular live number and is decent enough. Mary Long and the funky number, Smooth Dancer, have interesting bits, but the lyrics are questionable. The album is already pretty short (thankfully), but I feel those last 2 tracks could have had 2 minutes cut. 'Our Lady' in particular just drags and goes nowhere.

The band sounds really bored and worn out here.

Incredibly average this one. no great riffs, no great vocal hooks, no excitement; what the hell? blackmore just abuses power chords and throws generic solos instead of penning great riffs and ripping the fretboard. And, sad thing is, it's not that the group wasn't good at creating mid-tempo rockers. Fireball proves exactly that. It's just that, these are veeery average songs to begin with. Except "Woman From Tokyo". "Rat Bat Blue" and "Smooth Dancer" both have great riffs, but not much else

I completely disagree with this review. Who Do We Think We Are is just as good as Burn.

Average Purple album, but still an enjoyable strange album...a lot of bands could only dream of it...
