I think this band are victims of their own success..just like Bring Me the Horizon, (who I don't like personally, but I quite like these guys). People think it's cool to bash them but they don't actually deserve half the nagativity they receive.. Sure they're not original, but fuck, how many bands really and truly deserve that label these days? Not Many. I can't remember who said it but I've read it on this site somewhere - these guys just do a great job at an average, middle-of-the-road sound.

Thats pretty much the most ignorant comment I have heard in a long time to be honest in; how many bands have a original sound these days?. Yes bands are influenced by others, but that doesn't effect their ideas are make them not original. Yes, I agree with in the hopeless genre that metalcore has become has been filled with same same breakdowns and dodgey key lines aka: TDWP, A Day To Remember, Attack Attack! etc. Though bands are coming up with original stuff all the time, music evolves ALL THE TIME! I mean 50 years ago pop circa the Beatles was a revelation. Music can and IS evolving all the time.

Well yeh, I totally agree with that. I'll take your point and refine what I just said, how many 'metal-core' bands have an original sound these days? And we both agree that within this genre thats not many.. I wrote that in a hurry without thinking someone might apply that to music as a whole when i was thinking purely about this kind of music. My point was, they're not original, but I still enjoy what they do.

Ok gotcha ; ) Makes much sense to me now! I can agree with what you say, though there are bands that do this a lot better; August Burns Red (newest), Underoath, Cave In, Botch and Converge.
