I really want to give this a 5. I'll give it a few more listens before I decide.

"omg Simian Cattle is just amazing."

Agreed ^^.....After I accidentally came across these guys on Myspace; I was instantly hooked after "Aethereal"'s Bass-Lines; Initial interest I suppose was brought upon their rather unique band name.

Easily the best release of 2009, right next to Obscura's "Cosmogenesis", Humanoid's "Remembering Universe", Slaughterbox's "Ubiquity of Subjugation", and Nile's "Those Whom The Gods Detest" albums.....Bass and overall Guitar-Work is really what carries this band's music...Really unlike anything I've ever heard as far as Death Metal goes...(Unless you consider Cynic, Exivious, and early Michael Manring as possible comparisons)....

It took me around 4 solid days to figure out the Bass-Lines to "Simian Cattle"....Especially since he's left-handed, and plays a Fretless-4-String (I am right-handed and play a Fretted-5-String). I had to watch the video of him playing the entire song with a mirror held up to the screen and had to watch in it and then flip everything he was doing upside down (because of reversed strings)......VERY challenging but immensely fun to play.

^Agreed. Third for me would be Crack the Skye, but Fragmentary Evidence takes the cake.

As amazing as this is...Jane Doe is better. If Converge didn't release Jane Doe I might've said Augury.
