I was really into this album for some time, but the more i listened to it, the more Warrel Dane's voice bothered me. However i'll still put it on from time to time to hear Jeff Lomis rip it up.

This Godless Endeavor is deffinitely the best track on the album.

Nevermore's best album, even surpassing Dreaming Neon Black. They really showcase their diversity here, and the addition of Steve Smyth on guitars is instantly noticeable, both in the songwriting and the guitar solos. I find Van Williams' drum sound to be quite boxy though (probably something that should be attributed to the glossy production job). Warrel Dane is at his absolute finest vocally, and Jeff Loomis, as always, is an absolute beast.

Warrel Dane is a really good vocalist with this band, but he was horrible on Behemoth's album The Apostasy.
