The Return is one of my least favorites, though it’s still good. Lost however is an underrated song. I appreciate the album more now than before, but yeah, following up their best with this did them no favors. Should’ve stuck with Adam D’s brilliance instead of using the one-off producer. Ironically, I believe the decision to switch it up was Howard’s demand. Could be wrong though.

I’ll never get over how somehow Adam D and Brendan O’Brien, two immensely talented producers who have done some of my favourite sounding albums in heavy rock, managed to make this sound like it was recorded under a blanket.
