This is Anthony Green at his catchiest.
Unlike his...ergh...solo album.

After listening to this completely, I think it kicks lots of ass, but their full length was too generic. The guitarists rule, although they could vary their chords a little, although most post-hardcore bands can be accused of chord re-using.
Also, on Sputnik
Circa Survive - Juturna - 3.8
Circa Survive - On Letting Go - 3.6
Saosin's full length - 3.5
THIS - 4.1
I think this band is where Anthony truly belongs (not in his heart, but in the heart of musical goodness.. lol)

Absolutely awesome EP, too bad Anthony moved on =( so much potential.
The drumming in this album is so fresh/interesting, I love it =o and I love the progression in this album it always keeps you on your toes.
And as for the genre, saosin are so incredibly hard to place >.> the choruses generally are post-hardcore but then there are too many cleans to class them post-hardcore. But I also think popcore is too far the other way because the guitars/drums are too heavy/techincal (imo) to be classed as popcore.
Infact I'd almost be tempted to call them prog. post-hardcore but as I was saying, hard to place.

This EP never gets old. So much longevity.
|
| |
^ Yea this is good. Not much the bass though, maybe my Audioengine A5's just don't cut it.
|
| |
yeah the bass is kinda inaudible, but i still think the production is what makes it so re-listenable
|
| |
orgasmic
|
| |
I love a. green on this album
|
| |
this is much better than the slew of mainstream post-hardcore bands that every little scene kid seems to mistake for screamo.
catchy as fuckkkk.
|
| |
Yeah, "Seven Years" is slick, and "They Perched" and "3rd Measurement" are pretty well structured.
|
| |
Listening to this now and it's really good so far.
|
| |
better than good..
|
| |
the title track is pretty awesome
|
| |
"Seven Years" is the catchiest thing ever
|
| |
Title track is the best
|
| |
The best is either "Seven Years" or "They Perched"
|
| |
Seven years is what got me into this band though
|
| |
Me too. I think it's probably what got 90% of people into the band and will always be Saosin's staple song
|
| |
if this was a full length it would be a five. sooooo fucking good. seven years is awesome.
|
| |
fuck, i absolutely love this.
