"There is a road that I must travel, may it be paved or unseen

May I be hindered by a thousand stones, still onward I'd crawl down on my knees"

I love that lyric, especially the sound of it in the song.

Probably my favorite song of the album; although all of them are perfect

Correction: album would be perfect if A Day By The Lake did not exist

Which is crap for people that actually go by the rating system that is in place here.
Well when an album deserves a 5 from all 3.5 is very low

Kinda did actually. It's not a bad song, but I always felt like it didn't fit and kept the album going for a bit too long.

Only recently started listening to this. The opening lead on the first track is well good.

The music is good and so are the harsh vocals, but I just can't learn to like most the clean ones.

I love the clean vocals, hence why I probably like SOAD, but I find Vurtox's better.

A Day By The Lake isn't that bad

I really hate the sampled violin at the beginning of the title track. Sounds way too fake. This Message Edited On 12.16.08

A Day By The Lake is amazing. I love the way the guitars seem to wash over everything in the beginning, I think it fits brilliantly with the "by the lake" theme. Also Vurtox's cleans are just as amazing and emotional as in every other track.

Violin + Guitar = pwn.

I hope their next album is like this one, the industrial one is alright, but not as breathtaking that's for sure.

Hahahaha what would I do without these comments in my life? Thanks McP3000 for that healthy reminder!

But seriously, the Serj vocals are really annoying and he doesn't use them as much on Gloria. Plus, I love industrial so that album kind of hits me a little harder.

Industrial? Less gay Serj vocals? It looks like I need to hear Gloria. And off topic, the guy from Summoning has a pretty cool Industrial project called Ice Ages which might appeal to yuo Wizard and Willie.

Ice Ages eh? I still need to hear Summoning though before I start skipping around.
