yea like me getting negged by someone who randomly read my After the Burial review and was offended by my stating its main drawback was the fact that "the talented musicians resort to the breakdown far too often".
this album is disgusting, and the new singer is disgusting, i cringe watching the flood video
Edit: oh yea this album suxxxx soo hardThis Message Edited On 10.26.08

it doesn't sound like you've ever liked escape the fate so why would you even write a review on it....

i'm not saying you have to like anyone to review them. what i am saying is that you need to show some respect for the bands that do their job day in and out to entertain people.
one other thing is that there is a fine line between reviewing with criticism and bashing. this review is clearly bashing more than just the album. you attack the band themselves over it. learn to review. show some respect

waiters don't leave their homes and get dragged around by a record company in order to do their job though. there is a huge difference between them and a waiter.
maybe you should do some research. the flood video...craig didn't move at all...so yea maybe he should have had more fun in the video...oh wait he has a broken foot. Duh he didn't move much.
look at what you have said. everywhere you pointed out an improvement you stated how that improvement wasn't a good thing. its just way overboard. If you think escape the fate is a dime a dozen band then you are way off the mark. How is escape the fate dime a dozen???? they have everything other bands don't have. nothing about them resembles bands that are a dime a dozen like fall out boy or the main. the band everyone should be worried about failing is I Am Ghost. i was fan when they started but wow have they not changed a bit. everything is same old same old.

The main difference between this album and their debut was the vocals and the lack of a second guitar. This album isn't terrible; they are all pretty talented Craig has a good voice, and good control within his color. He's just not able to give it that harsh edge or multi-tonal quality ronnie had. Even if Ronnie was a druggie and not as developed a vocalist, his sound made me believe that this band (or maybe just him) had been through some shit. In their new album im finding myself hard pressed to believe anything im hearing, that might be because of the inclusion of orchestral instruments or the mastering. Nothing sounds honest, which doesnt mean it sounds bad, it just sounds like everything else. Im still gonna support them and buy it, but i hope they use this album to identify what theyre missing and correct it, they have the capability.

okay first of all the flood video comment was to a different person.
second of all. i just know how disrespectful the review was. it was bias. end of story.
Don't bother defending it because if you can't look at it from an outsiders point of view then don't review it.

The only criticism you get are from people who have posted maybe one thing (this being their first) or under 5. Not that big of a deal.
Funny, and true review. Band is hailed on a throne too high for them to sit upon.

I quite liked their old stuff, ok it was hardly ground-breaking, but it was fun, if only for a while...but this is just abominable. So I agree with btbamm, this is scene wank-bank material and nothing else, and Mr Mabbitt (lol) was better off in Blessthefall. This is the apitomy of all that is wrong with the scene these days.
|
| |
craig tries too hard to 'sound ETF' and thus ruins the sound he established with blessthefall.
he sounded good on a number of tracks off of His Last Walk, I mean listen to A Message to the Unknown. compared to this trash anyways, its pretty good

album was okay but not amazing
the old one was so much better
but Ashley is pretty catchy and this war is ours is pretty good as well This Message Edited On 11.17.08

The only good song is This War is Ours and I still can't listen to it because of the line "Through the Fire and the Flames" in the lyrics.
Craig, stop listening to Dragonforce. and also Craig was better in blessthefall, but he's WAY better in The Word Alive, if anyone hasn't heard them go check them out.

The Word Alive is getting a new vocalist to replace Craig, since he decided to stick to this cruddy
band. It's a shame.
Anyways, this is a horrible album.
Great review!
Oh, and Reddannihilation, it's The Frisk from the DF boards.

I hear Ronnie Radke busted out of prison and is trying to spark a bluegrass movement in colorado. I'll be joining his new project laying down some sweet basslines, and my brother, Mayhew, will supply the pancakes.
