Musically, sounds so much better than CYB. This album isn't enough "br00tal" but the high screams make the songs more emotional.

I'm sorry, I liked this band. Yes, they sound like a lot of bands put together, but I've been watching several bands that used to be spectacular back in the day, like Every Time I Die's 'Hot Damn' and earlier works, As I Lay Dying's 'Frail Words Collapse', As Cities Burn with 'Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest', Since By Man 'Pictures of the Hotel Apocalypse', Poison the Well's 'Opposite of December'... they all have either progressed to a very generic style of "metal", if you will, or they've disappeared completely. These guys at least bring a fast-paced, funky rockout style that can change things up if you start to get exhausted with stuff you've been listening to 1,999 times over, and you're drifting off into a state of trance, even though you've just woken up from a good 9 hour sleep. Not the best or original work by any means, but not bad either. Not bad at all in my opinion.

This band catches a lot of flak and I feel that a lot of people will distance themselves from them because of how they look. I heard this album before I heard anything else from these guys, and was honestly rather impressed with how well they had established their sound. Though a tad obvious as to who they are influenced by on this record (Bury Your Dead and Underoath primarily) I think its a pretty good release.

Decent album. At least the production is pleasent. Sam Carters singing on The Sadness Will Never End = yes.

eh..i was not impressed, especially with the vocalist and guitarists, the guitarists started playing like I Set My Friends On Fire, and the vocalists shouts instead of screams, and the changes dont even match. if this was the first album i had ever heard from them id like it...but since i heard CYB i cant listen to it...

Scene band. These guys will be forgotten in a few years.
Score is for Chelsea smile, which is still after the first verse, a lacklustre song. This Message Edited On 12.16.08

'Suicide Season' is an awesome song, even if its over 8 minutes long. But nothing else on this album really stood out to me. It's natural for songs on a metalcore/deathcore/whatever-the-fuck-people-label-this-band-as album to all blend together, but not to the degree that it does on this album. Kind of a disappointment.
