you know, converge, misery signals, botch, 7 angels 7 plagues, they all sound the same.

well maybe between ms and 7a7p, but that's because they share 2 members of 7a7p.

dallas and spencer never sounded alike. dallas had a death/deathcore scream-spencer sounds like post hardcore singer. old-underoath and new underoath are 2 different bands. if you have one or two of the founding members you are no longer the same band.

Doesn't Chimera have like...no founding members? I know that is completely unrelated but that made me think of it...

Its funny because its poisonous!

I'd be more understanding of the rating if you'd managed to actually back up any of your points (or if any of them made sense, either way is good).

Everyone has the right to express an opinion, its just some are just opinions are more well informed and based on fact. If you liked TOCS more, you're not supposed to like this, coz you like shit, generic screamo. Go listen to Alesana and keep ur ex-fanboy ranting to urself.

This is an incredible album, and although not a huge diversion from the epic DTGL, it builds on the bands sound, and i personally believe is stronger than its precessor.

I might be biased as underoath are my favourite band, but im in love with this album and probably always will be.

SnackaryBinx, although you have a point, ur a bit harsh on Converge there, they are nothing like those boring metalcore bands mentioned, there is nothing else like converge, or to an extent underoath for that matter, unless they're a solidstate clone band..cough..cough..''Oh, sleeper''..cough..cough..''inhale/exhale''.. lol. If not one of the best, one of the most successful at least, can't denie that, if they are even considered metalcore? But who cares about genres anyway.

Rant over. lol

didn't pick up on the fact that he was actually stating those bands are not your average boring metalcore band then?

This album didn't really appeal to me at all but in no way it is a 1.

Why don't you review Sergeant Peppers while you're are it.

They're only chasing safety is generic as hell.

But with LITSOS I can really say "that's definitely underoath". it sounds unique.

This is an awful review though. For one, on what do you base the "they sound like killswitch engage" stuff? they sound NOTHING like killswitch engage.

I don't even really like underoath. I think aaron's voice is irritating as hell. but I really love the mood they set with this album. the whole album felt like a diary. not personal enough my ass.

You don't deserve to be an Underoath fan. The whole idea behind Spencer's change in screaming is for *gasp* a better range, more technicality, and extra badassness. If you think Tim from AILD is better, notice that his sound is brutal but technique lacking (his scream has no range). Dude, on They're Only Chasing Safety, Spencer did the same thing. Sure his scream was sick, but it stayed in one place = no range = no technique (Anders from In Flames *cough* *cough*). Underoath gets better with every album and its only natural for some people to not get it, i.e. you.
