I can totally understand both sides of the arguments on these guys.. I'm stuck in the middle. I love them to death... for like 30 minutes then I have my Meshuggah fix for quite a while. BUT they are pretty damn cool.

I own both the "old" and the "new" versions of "Nothing"...

the differences in sound quality seem to be subtle, although it is evident that the sound on this is more "dense".

Great album.

This is one of, if not, my favorite work from Meshuggah.

I like how they sloooowed down Nebulous. It's so massive on the re-release.

I think this is my favorite release under the DVD.

I don't think their records really capture what they have going on with their live show.

This album slays so hard. So hard.

I love both versions. Learned to love the original, but I am learning to appreciate better the subtle changes in the re-release.

Yes, nice way to put it. I like the dynamics and drums better in the original, which is already heavy and violent, but the 2006 version is so dense and loud, it hits harder.

To this day, I do not think I have heard anything this cerebral and brutal at the same time.

I ain't listened to the original version, I always forget there's two versions... But this has to be their second best behind Catch Thirty Thr33.

Still haven't heard this. Why listen to yet another album of theirs with programmed drums if you can listen to it with live ones. Of what I've heard, I also think the original vocals seem to fit better with the album's sound than the newer refined, although more monotonous, C33 style.

Can someone explain to me the difference in quality between this and the original?

listen to it. This sounds more like Obzen kind of, harder edges on the guitars and such.

If you're not really familiar with the original then you won't notice, but there is a difference.

I can`t. well im a yankee, i dont cut wood. instead i flip a switch and BOOM! you got yourself a roaring flame, then the bong, and of course, thrash, or DM, w/e im in the mood for., sometimes its jam rock. Not djent really though.
