Review is quite short for an against the grain prove the popular opinion wrong review...i understand what you're going for though, because the album does get a bit repetitive sounding, but it still is quite good...p.s. exit music for a film is one of the greatest things to be done by a band... I've been getting that a lot, but again I just don't feel a need to explain much more because I will end up repeating myself

Crazy, really crazy. I can't understand how anyone can like this less than a 5 star rating, but anything less than 4.5 is mad! Meh, it's opinions- And yes, I am taking into account the WHOLE album. Let Down is my least favourite track and would get probably an 8/8.5 at worst from me. No Suprises is one of the most eerily beautiful songs around, Karma Police never seems to drag at all, and is another classic, Climbing Up The Walls is creepy in the best way possible. I mean, not to drag on about it or anything...
Yeah, as people have said, this needs way more criticisms for giving this a 3. You seem to be saying 'it's not the best album in the world, but it's still amazing', or that's how it comes across. Also, I don't see how Thom Yorke's lyrics are anything short of awe-inspiring, really. Good review though, I'll vote.

The fact that you said "Karma Police" and "Climbing Up The Walls" are downers is such a shame.
Listen to CUTW with headphones on--lights out--and eyes closed.
Scary stuff.

Amnesiac, the fact that people think that song is scary is hilarious. listen to battle of mice, atrium carceri, or elend with headphones and lights out and tell me how you feel
Sam, thanks for the critique, and fyi I don't find it amazing by any standardsThis Message Edited On 09.08.08

This band doesn't do that much for me, and as I've said before I think they're a bit overrated. But whatevah. Great review

Well you suck at life, my dear friend! Your favourite tracks, Fitter Happier and Electioneering are the worst tracks on the best album of all time! Now go listen to "Let Down" while contemplating the sky with your headphones at maximum volume and if you don't burst into tears during the final part where there are three Thom's singing you are probably:1-deaf;
2-a robot;
3-50 Cent.

FireAbove...Don't get me wrong--there are a lot of other scary songs, but something about Climbing Up the Walls is just plain creepy.
Tom Waits is another obvious choice for creepy songs, but this is one of the most atmospheric choices.
The first time I heard CUtW was at night during a rainstorm--which ended up being totally awesome.

your review doesn't explain such a low rating, and fitter happier isn't even a "song", it's just a fuckin' statement. also, every song in here has a defined identity, how can you say some songs sound way too similar?

This is an awful review.
Maybe I'll review Revolver sometime at 2.5 and run through every track one by one making insightful judgements like "Nice guitar riff, song is okay but kinda sucks" thereby justifying giving one of the most respected records of all time a low score.
I have no problem with people having different opinions to me but this is not serious criticism at all.

I can see why someone might not like this album, but then again it applies only to people who hate falsettos, strangely connected lyrics and actually listening to albums. It's fine if you don't find it amazing, but are there any other Radiohead albums you like more? And what do you think's the main problem with this one?
