I really like the direction they took with this record. They stopped ripping off of Botch and decided to go more rock-oriented which seems to fit them alright. Looking forward to their new record.

so i never really got into Norma Jean (when they were big i was listenin to little emo fags ha) but i have always loved their first 2 albums. never liked this one.
Havent heard it for about a year and a half, gave it a new listen, and actually enjoyed it.
It feels like they took a massive sidestep, and stumbled into a new genre.
this whole album seems like it was an experiment for them, just trying out whatever new shit came to mind. ended up pretty hit and miss.

This was the first Norma Jean album I bought and it was definitely not a disappointing listen though I did not care much for the guest vocalist songs. Great review though
