^^ Ditto

The only tracks that I really enjoy are the first and last songs.

I just got this today. I've listened to half of it, and it is awesome. I enjoyed their first 2 cds also. I thought pitch black progress was a great cd and I don't understand why so many people on here don't like it. They put on a good live show too. I saw them with katatonia and swallow the sun. One thing I thought was pretty funny with this new cd though, is that the band layout is completely wrong. Well the only one they got right was Per. The rest of them are wrong from the picture.

ok after a couple weeks of listening to this cd, i've come to the conclusion that it is by far their best cd and it is the best cd to come out this year so far, even better than opeth, which i was very disappointed with. This Message Edited On 07.21.08

I second the Prism And Gate for recommended track. Best track from Scar Symmetry yet, I'd say. Closely followed by Deviate from the Form.

I wanna hear this. I liked Pitch Black Progress. If I remember rightly, the vocals are pretty damn good.

Bought this a week ago, finally put it on my computer (and iPod) today. Perhaps even better than I hoped, I'm looking at a 4 after hearing it in full.

Almost all the way through, and the clean vocals are a tad annoying tbh.

The vocals were fine, just the songs got extremely sloppy and choppy, like they were trying to force things that didn't fit.

I never meant the vocals were bad, it's just the amount of singing is slightly irritating.

This album has really grown on me. Hanging around a 4 right now. Sounds a lot like Mercenary.

They're about the same quality to me. I'm enjoying this a lot more than I did - that guy can sing. This Message Edited On 07.23.08

Progressive Melodic Death Metal with a philosophical concept and divine production. My Favorite Metal Release since BTBAM Colors. Tied for Album of the year.
