I just wanted to say that the album is called GREATEST HITS for a reason, and they are going to include songs that were the GREATEST HITS. catch my drift? they obviously arent going to put raw songs on there since they arent...say it with me now....greatest hits.

But I'm not very familiar with their earliest stuff so I can't really comment...

I don't think the rating you gave is fair. It's their first (and to date only) compilation album. What did you expect? Ofcourse the put the stuff on that they think was most popular. Sometimes decisions on track listing are hard especially with all the great songs they recorded. And I wouldn't go as far as to say that offspring became poopy. They're just experimanting. They have nothing too lose. Anything they record will not be a commercial flop. Critically maybe but commercially never. I own this album and I would gladly buy it again. The only thing I agree on with you is that "million miles away" should really have been included.

Not enough tracks here IMO.
2 or 3 songs from each album seems fair to me even if, as many, I think that Smash is their best album (lol it's a greatest hits alone) so they should have put 2 or 3 more tracks from this one (smash, bad habit for example). Not so bad though.

Okay I have a confession for sputnik....
This is the only Offspring album I even have.
The songs on this greatest hits album are the only Offspring songs I've ever heard.
Should I buy like their debut or something or do I just need to settle with these songs?

I like Smash, it's more percussive and raw than their new stuff but you gave "nevermind" a 1 so i don't know if you'll like it.
Come Out And Play & Self Esteem are from this one (come out and play is not really representative of the rest of the album though).
Smash (the song) is incredible, full of energy.
