umm, are you retarded.
Charles Manson is a mass murderer.

Actually, I do belive "Drumgod" has a point. I'm pretty sure that members of his "family" had a fair amount to do with the killings. But I don't recall that Charles Manson has a clean slate. I think you're mistaken there.
He's right about the sister thing tho. This Message Edited On 01.26.06

Well, what can I say about this album?
With this new album, it seems as if the Alkaline Trio broke into the mainstream, but that is another story. When a band makes it known that they are releasing a new album, the fans get anxious. Anxious as to whether the new album will be great, good, or bad. Anxious as to whether or not the production on this new album will be good or bad. Anxious as to whether this new album will be a radio hit, and become overplayed.
Enter "Crimson." I 'obtained' this album about two weeks ago, and after giving it a listen, I am actually dissapointed in the Alkaline Trio. This new album sounds as if it were written solely for radio play. The music seems slightly dumbed down, and the lyrics seem slightly more tame. Yes, I can honestly say that I am disspointed in the Alk3 because of this album.

This is a very good alkaline trio album. It contains some good tracks like Time to waste, Mercy me, and Sadie. But this album is nothing compared to From Here To Infirmary and Good Mourning.

About how much better is Here To the Infirmary compared to Crimson (in presentage)?
|
| |
Cause I own this CD (i luv it), and i hear a buncha gud reviews for here to the infirmary

meh I like FHttI best from these guys, even though this is more consistent. That one has more bad songs, but the good ones balance it out. This one just has solid songs throughout imo.

Worst Alkaline Trio album by some way. Its still good just not by their own high standards.

i love this album. so, so, so, so much. it's my favorite Alk3 album. if u ask me, i like time to waste, mercy me, dethbed, settle for satan, sadie, prevent this tradgedy, and the rest of the album a LOT.

dethbed is the best song on the album

Mercy Me is a great song. I didnt relise it was depressing though. It reminds me of Jebidiah for some reason buts that a good thing

| |

Great review.
I was so excited for the release of this album and I bought it on the day it was released. I was not disappointed and I had it playing on repeat for over a month afterwards. I love every single song on it but my favourite tracked fluctuated between Dethbed, Prevent This Tragedy, The Poison and I Was A Prayer, but I really couldn't pin down which song I liked best when they were really ALL sensational songs. Dan's singing has got so much better over the years, and I really enjoy their dual vocals as one of the main reasons why I like the band so much. I will always anticipate new alk3 stuff as they never seem to disappoint.

It's weird because "Settle for Satin" and "I Was a Prayer" are some of my favorite songs on this album...
