What's the big deal with Dosed? Great layering, lyrics etc. but no the best. To be honest, the Zephyr Song is my fave on this album. It kicks ***
I like the song "Cabron" too! hehe

I found the whole album to be a disappointment from a musicians point of view. It was bland and hugely dull. They're older work worked on so many levels, this just doesn't.

Pretty good.
I particularly like "Dosed" and "I could die for you" from this album, not forgetting "The zephyr song" and "By the way". Eventhough i think RHCP has done better albums.

Hey, Liam, ol'd buddy ol' chum.
Will you ever like this album?
Even Zephyr song, even though it's against your religion?

I think this is one of there best CD's yet, Fruciantes backing vocals add a lot to the songs, and the Band as a whole have evolved from being good at their instrumnet to being a good band
My fave RHCP CD = BTW

I love this album, i dont have a favourite song because i like all of them

And I agree, if the RHCP hadn't evolved and would still be playing funk exclusively, they would be gone by now. Frusciante is a genius, my favourite guitar player, for his ability to write relatively simple guitar lines, but so **** beautiful... Just listen to his solos on the Slane DVD, they are no shred (I hate shred), but his solos send shivers down my spine everytime.
I like the mellowness and the diversity on By the way, it shows the RHCP have evolved, matured, and are capable of not only playing and writing what they want to, but doing it extremely well too...
Just my two cents...
he did'nt shred eh?
why don't you go and watch the dvd again and you'll see somewhere along can't stop and give it away that john frusciante did shred but its just a matter of seconds.
anyways peace! i own the dvd too

Although the songs are, in my opinion, nowhere near as good as the Chilis old stuff (particularly One Hot Minute...best...album...ever) the songs are pretty good as pop records...
By The Way and Venice Queen are the best songs, good bookend songs

bump again. My favourite RHCP album. There are a few very crap songs however (throw away your television, universally speaking, i could die for you. But I doubt they could beat this is the place, dosed, dont forget me and minor thing any time soon. And frusciante is just ultimate in this album.

5/5 and i'm biased. RHCP 4 eva.

By the Way is much cooler than you are. Especially Cabron, On Mercury, Can't Stop, and the title track.

Are you talking to me?

By the way is a great cd and a good change up. whats cool is once you get tired of a certain cd you can pic one of the other because there style has change over the years. The songs on this cd are also AMAZING live. Im dont realy like Throw away your television but it was realy great the Hyde parc album. They were good when they came to Ottawa, Canada but the crowd wasnt so that took away from the experience. Somebody was talking about a song named Time and they didnt put it on the album or something. well i was just wondering if you could post something with more info cause id like to know about it and stuff.

'Time' is a b-track on the By the Way single, or on one of them
