Hybrid Theory was better.

I like "Breaking the Habit", and the turn tables on "Don't Stay".

Just out of curiousity, does anyone have an idea why Faint is called Faint?

THey probably used a ramdomizer cause their song writer didn't name it.

Listening to this again, the drumming in this album is actually pretty good.

I agree with hunter555. i think they had a randomizer of Faint and Figure.09... what the hell were those titles about.

anyway, does anyone know when their next album comes out. i've heard both october and december so just wanna know something about them. by the way this album isn';t bad at all, nothing compared to Hybrid Theory which compares nothing to their best work which was their EP but still this band is very criticized either for too much popular out of a simple formula, or just because people need a band to bash on, but still I think LP is great

I love Hybrid Theory.
I wasn't Super excited bout this one.
They did have a couple of Good songs Numb, Faint
Session was really Cool.
Cant wait for new LP cd it has a good chance of being good if they go the way of Hybrid Theory

I'd be excited if they made something technical.

I thoroughly enjoyed this album. I know how people despise how they rely too much on the electronic side of things but I'd like to point out how they perfectly blend in scratches, beats, etc with their music. The same can't be said for lets say Limp Bizkit or earlier Incubus albums.

i cant help but disagree with you guys and that review, but this is not your fault. The reason you said(the majority of you said this)that HT was so good that this was dissapointing because it ssounded the same. Well this was the first cd of theres i listened to so i dont know how to compare it to HT. HT had more cool songs, but i like meteora and this cd got me into them which got me into nu metal and now i like all sorts of music not just old metal(which waas the only music i used to lissten too) so this album got me into music so i got to give it my kudos.

Not better than Hybrid Theory but still a very awesome album from me. I really don't see any bad points of it and I actually do like how they change the style a lil bit on their first 4 tracks(Don't Stay=energy song, some where=slower, laid-back song, Lying From You=energy song but with the beep thingy which was a new thing for them, Hit The Floor=Eerie type with a dark sound). In overall: I love this album it has alot of high energy and their formula really doesn't get old, it just gets me more frenetic.

The production is definitely more experimental - it has this whole industrial, mechanical theme which is quite reminiscent to NIN. While the musicianship is relatively simple, the is overshadowed by some really cool effects - I have to say that this is actually a pretty damn decent album. Minutes To Midnight really couldn't come any sooner!

However, while I'm open to the points you have made on your review, I felt that it was poorly written in places with some atrocious grammatical errors too. It's seriously annoying.

Well, what can I say? English is not my main language. I do my best to write as good and error free as possible, so if you want to point out some of the "atrocious grammatical errors" you found, this may help me to improve my knowledge of the English language both written and spoken. :thumb:

i actually wanted a refund when i first heard this album. i was walking down the street cursing it. than i listened to it again and felt more of a connection to it. the only weak song for me is somewhere i belong. unlike everyone else i think this album tops hybrid theory for me.

Good review, I agree 100%. Meteora is probably my favorite LP album. Still a pretty weak band.

Not as ballsy or as good overall as HT, but it flows better. A solid release anyway, the only really teen angst stuff that has ever clicked for me. We all feel it. It's cool. =P
