This album's pretty meh. The kids that hype it are the same kids that hype My Chemical Romance and Senses Fail. Give Full Collapse a chance.

I thought it was great, it introduced me to Thursday very well. And no, I don't like Senses Fail and kind of like MCR. The individual songs may not be as great as the ones of Full Collapse, there are no weak songs on this (Signals Over The Air and M. Shepard are a little weaker than the rest). This is a follow up better than a lot of other bands have been doing recently.

There are no weak ones on Full Collapse either. And "Signals Over The Air" was one of the best on this CD, I think.

I actually liked it more than FC at first, but then it just wore off. There's some great songs on it, but there's just something about it. It's grossly overproduced, also.

It is very overproduced. AMG liked this better than FC though.

War all the time doesn't come close to the intensity of Full Collapse but there are some great moments. I hope they branch out and use a lot more piano on their next album...

First when I bought this, I thought it was very generic.. Untill I listened to it a few times again, and now i love it.
5/5.. I've been listening through this album atleast twice a day for more than two weeks..
I find the overproducing to work very well for this cd. A bit like how it works for Dredg - El Cielo

After just listening to this album, I fail to see the apparent obsession of these guys. Can someone tell me why their music is so feted?

Every single song sounds good at the time........ but tell me, do you actually remember any of the song at the end? It's the most forgettable album I've ever heard. It is way overproduced, even by Sparta's standards, but at least I remember their songs, I can't remember a single guitar hook or lyric from this album.

You guys need to listen to Million Dead......just my two pence.

One of my favorite albums. There isn't a single song that I don't like. My favorites are Marches and Manuevers, Steps Ascending, Asleep In The Chapel, and Tomorrow I'll Be You. I prefer this album to Full Collapse. The only song on FC that I like is Cross Out The Eyes, which is the song that introduced me to Thursday.

I want to download a Thursday album... I'm guessing I should get Full Collapse?

Correct. It has a more indie, raw feel. This album is more produced, overworked and radio-friendly.
