So.... which would you say is their best?
| |
Something Wicked
| |
That one has some cool songs and easily number 2 for me, but I like the bleakness that Burnt Offerings has. Also, Something Wicked has some filler tracks on it.
| |
Something Wicked has lots of kickass songs, and also some fillers. I'd say BO its their most consistent.
| |
this and Night Of The Stormrider are my favs, then SWTWC and Dark Saga
| |
Night of the Stormrider was the first Iced Earth album that I ever heard. There are some cool parts on there, but they needed a better vocalist and production. The closing track was the only one I really liked.
| |
not even Desert Rain?
and wtf Greely was an awesome vocalist
| |
If only NOTS was sung by Matt...
| |
Well, it has been like six years since I heard it so my opinion could change these days (although I liked that kind of music more back then than now so...)
| |
Greely's screams were really annoying man.
| |
If only NOTS was sung by Matt... judging by the way he fucked up almost all pre-Burnt Offerings songs on Days Of Purgatory...
no thank you
| |
Coming Curse ftw
| |
Days of Purgatory sucked because it was only half re-recorded. That album sounded so hollow. They needed to adjust the tones a little bit for Matt, but they didn't.
| |
The NotS songs on DoP sound much better with him, only the production is a mess, with the bass sounding too loud. Even Cast in Stone sounds great with Matt.
| |
written on the walls > cast in stone
| |
Fade I thought power metal was for pussies.
| |
Ohhh cmoooon. Even Greely sounds better than Gene Adam.
| |
i dont really like power metal aside from a few things
but its not like early iced earth is anything like normal power metal so
| |
I guess so. At least its much more interesting than the usual Freedom Call happiness.
| |
I declare Dante's Inferno one of the greatest metal epics ever.
