jammed this one. v much agree with willie and hawks here. some cool stuff but it's just a bit too corny and theatrical for me. i really don't dig the cleans, that operatic push he does just sounds bad lol. some cool riffs and some really cool atmospheric moments scattered throughout though.
i dig the opener and closer easily the most here, closer is more straight bm which was refreshing. i can see why others get more out of it, i just can't do that over the top stuff. i'll have to try a few more of these guys.

^^^ What Hawks said is true ^^^
Start with that one, but keep in mind that Night Eternal, Extinct, and 1755 are their best (in that order).
Edit: I'd also recommend Daemonarch, which is this entire band minus the drummer doing black metal.

appreciate that willie! i think i'll go irreligious and night eternal at minimum. that side project is interesting too because i dug the heavier parts of this one.

That side project is all heavy and dark with only token goth influences (and almost no clean singing until the last song, if I remember correctly).

Cool album. If the whole LP had the level of 'An Erotic Alchemy' it would be a proto gothic goofy metal classic.

But the whole record has the level of An Erotic Alchemy....

But the whole record has the level of An Erotic Alchemy [2]
Which naturally makes it a goofy classic.

After witnessing this being played live I gotta say it so much better. These guys absolutely kill it live, one of the best bands to watch gothic infused extreme metal on a live setting, absolutely incredible. I think a score update is coming very soon
