Sure, it may sound like it, but he's not.

I got Takk at Christmas, and was dubious completely at first, and was laughed at when I played it to my mates. Now, however, Sigur Ros are getting airplay on the radio, and I am playing it to my mates without fear of getting beaten up =P
I bought this recently, and love it. Currently, my favourites are I, III, IV, VII, & VIII.
Beatiful music, unsurpassed in my eyes, if this is the music you like. Sometimes, this album isn't great to listen to when you want something with a little more *oomph* but it works great when you need it to

You can watch a live stream of a full 132 minute concert from 2005 on their site.
I advise everyone to do so.

This album engulfs me every time I put it on and I think I grow closer to it with every listen. This album is incredible. If you don't have it you need to buy it. If you don't have money you need to download it. The first time I listened to it I was unsure about a few songs but the more I listen the better the songs become and I can feel the whole essence of their music. Not many albums change my outlook on life but this one did it.
Why does everyone praise number 3 so much though, I always thought number 4 was betterThis Message Edited On 07.27.06

Im listening to this for the first time right now. i just finished track 6. 3 and 4 are amazing, but i also think that 5 and 6 are highly underated, and are right up there with 3 and 4 to me. im looking forward to 7 and 8.

6 is the best.

As much as I can understand why this album could sound boring, I never find it as such.
However having said that, I'm usually doing something else whilst listening to it.
Buuut, that doesn't detract at all from how much I love this album. It took me a fair while to actually sit down and get into it, but now I absorb myself in it quite often.
Easily my favourite Sigur Ros album.

sigur ros is amazing, i like untitled 7.

"It comprises eight untitled tracks, divided into two parts: the first four tracks are more light and optimistic, while the latter four are bleaker and more melancholic (pessimistic)
I read this off wikipedia and it makes so much sense and it actually makes me like the album a lot more because it makes A LOT more to sense to me how they did it and I HAVE to listen to the whole CD everytime i do want to listen to it now. This Message Edited On 11.13.06

I'm gonna have to give this another listen fairly soon. I liked a couple of tracks off of this but as an overall listen the music seemed very dull and uninteresting. This is probably because I didn't give the album enough time to grow on me yet both Takk and Agaetis Byrjun instantly grabbed my attention.

This is a great album, but Agaetis Byrjun mops the floor with ()'s face.
I like 7 and 8 the most.

Not afraid to admit that almost a year after downloading the album, Untitled 3 still somehow brings me to tears.

It's hard to find words to describe this album. Nothing like I've heard before, I think it may be a grower. I'm not used to this kind of music. I'll definitely be sleeping to it tonight, though.
How do you say this bands/albums name? This Message Edited On 04.28.07
