It's a strong 4.5 as I'm not too fond of rating too many albums as classic.
Talking about Opeth's discography, I think about half of their albums could very well be considered classic [!]. None of their releases, except Orchid which is a 4, are below 4.5 to me. And as one of the few people here on Sputnik, I once had Deliverance at a 5.

Yeah yeah, just shake your head Mcp3000, Deliverance rules no matter what anybody says. The album is really what Opeth is all about, just listen jk?

Solid review. This is my second Opeth album - in fact I even listened to Hours of Wealth and Isolation Years today.
Reverie/Harlequin Forest is my favorite Opeth song right now, mostly due to the first coulple minutes of riffing and vocals.
As for what I remember, it was painfully boring to sit through Atonement. Ill give it another listen...This Message Edited On 02.12.08

I guess I'm the only Sputnik user left that has Deliverance at a 5! The song Deliverance just does it for me. I also agree that all of Opeth's albums are or near classics!

Wow, how the hell did you remember that? I guess I don't change my avatar often. My avatar's are an album that has had a significant impact on my life (not to sound emo or anything). Why is it that where ever I move, you avatar is always watching me? hahahahaha!
