The Clash certainly don't suck. Neither do Wire.
Never liked the Pistols though.

While I acknowledge the relevance of The Clash and Sex Pistols in shaping modern music, they never really rhymed with me. Tried many times, they’re okay, that’s it. Wire, on the other hand, has released probably the strongest opening trio of albums ever, with a huge influence on at least three genres (punk, post punk, new wave), admirable work ethics and attitude. And they’re still around making music that’s not embarrassing, and even really good at times.
