I'm listening to the two EPs, ONE & TWO right now. And, while the group featured here bears little to no resemblance to the band which released 'The Red Album', this is still some killer sludgy, fast yet Doomish material. What the heck would ya'll consider this sub-genre anyway? Anyone have a name for this stuff?

Post Metal? They have elements of it. They are way more psychedelic metal than post metal.

There's one fundamental problem with these "Post" tags that are popping up.....What happens when the next musical mutation rears it's head? Does it then become Post-Post-Metal? Keep on adding 'Post' prefixes down the line? Or, does it only remain Post for one musical generation and then revert back to being actual Metal? Or, maybe even going with the 'Pre' prefix? It's all too confusing.

these guys were absolutely horrible live when I saw them with Opeth. I wanted to scrape my eyes out. the whole thing sounded like one big song and the singer sounded like he was saying the same thing over and over again.

These guys opened for Opeth with High On Fire... they were both absolutely horrible, and ruined the show for me. I've been meaning to give their recordings a try and hope they they both just had bad nights that night... but I'm not really expecting the studio to be able to cover up that lousiness.
