It's very heavily dipped into other genres.

Yeah, I noticed. That's where the confusion comes in. I don't hear emo at all.

oh and by emo what do you mean just to be clear

Well, I guess I just don't associate screaming with emo and for the most part that is all they do aside from some spoken word and shouts. I really don't listen to emo so I suppose I don't have a good description of what emo is to me. I just know that any emo I've heard doesn't have screaming. I think you said it right with it being a screamo/metal mix. Maybe even some hardcore also. No matter, I was just a little confused do to the emo labeling in the review. Perhaps if it were described as screamo instead of emo in the review it would make more sense.

Like I said I don't really listen to emo, but a few I can think of would be Acceptance, The Almost, and Saves the Day. I was under the impression that as soon as emo bands started screaming they graduated to screamo. I guess it just depends on what they do more. Labels suck.

To me this sounds like a progressive hardcore band playing metal, ambient, and some indie styled music. Sorry, can't shake the emo tag. I just don't hear it.This Message Edited On 01.18.08
