Probably the lamest album and song names in the history of the world. Will give it a go though.

I saw half of these guys' set when they supported The Black Dahlia Murder last August. Have been meaning to check them out but keep forgetting.

However, I've just got this album so I'll come back after a few listens. This Message Edited On 08.26.08

Album tends to drag a little bit in some spots, but that's the only noticable flaw. Nearly perfect otherwise.

Listened to this quite a bit now and I have to say it's very good. Songwriting skills are clear, the song names confuse me though, heh.

I really hope the first disc grows on me, so I don't look at it so lowly compared to how wonderful the second disc is.

I'm wandering in times which are not mine

Lost in between the shit and the shine

The snake of fear creeps into our hearts at night

Subdueing every mind at bedtime

What will it take to arrive

And cease trying to stop the past's rapid flight?

How much more do I have to go through

To prove myself that I'm still alive?

At times I'm amazed how wordy their songs are. I still love this album.

The imagery on Legions of Winged Octopi is one of my favorites as well.

listened to this first time yesterday, first disc seemed ok, nothing too special, but it was fun i guess. second disc was better. great album

seems like the views on this album is quite black and white though.

Album is pretty much amazing. And the first disc might be overshadowed by the second but it's still by no means 'bad' or particularly dull. This Message Edited On 10.07.08

So, I'm still wondering why this band isn't labeled under Metal.

Progressive is where some people like to stick post metal. But yeah, it should be metal.

But, these guys are barely post metal at all. A lot of their material is chugga-chugga metalcore. Only the second half of Precambrian is post-metal.This Message Edited On 10.09.08

The second half is longer, so it's mostly post metal.
