Album Rating: 4.5
First paragraph aside, I think it is pretty decent. Dry is fueled with sexuality, themes of domination/submission, which can’t be omitted when talking about the album.
…unless you write something like the other review, track-by-track, focused on drumming and generic descriptions, bit even that one mentions “sexy vocals”, which is no less problematic.
So I guess the task with music like this would be to refrain from adding personal (first-person? third-person?) perspective, because it is then a huge task not to relate to Polly Jean when hearing these songs. Whether you’re sexually attracted to women or men, you’ll end-up sounding like you’re objectifying (and probably you will do so, to some degrees).
But hey, I’m not the review expert here, we have some real aficionados in da house!

“I think you can critically discuss representations of sexuality in art without expounding on your desire to fuck the artist” - exactly, that was also my point, but in this particular case, I found the call for a “clean up” exaggerated, the rest of the review does a good job in discussing the album.
Haven’t read the Kate Bush review, will take a look if it hasn’t been removed (yet?)
