It takes a long time to grow on you. First time I got it, I kind of liked it but couldn't even get through it in one sitting. You just need a lot of patience.
Seriously though, if you allow it to grow on you, it will suddenly hit you in the face as a remarkable piece of work.
Listening to it now actually and I can't find fault. Everything is perfect.

I thought it sucked too when I first heard it but you're not going to find a better metalcore album instrumentally, and once it grows on you, vocally.

When I first heard songs from the album I hated Converge, but after their sound started to grow on me I bought the album and liked it and blew my load over it (one of my insta-5s) but I'm past that phase and rate stuff for real now so yah.

i didn't know i could get such a rise out of just pointing out my distaste for an album that really has no appeal to me...i've honestly tried liking this..but it's just not happening.
it's extremely overhyped in my opinion.

look...i respect your guys's love for this album, and how some of you may want to beat my ass for not liking it..it's just i went out and bought this based on what people here on sputnik have been saying about it(which i guess was my fault), and i can't find one redeeming quality about it.
