^Thats not really a fair assumption to make. I doubt AVA would have become nearly this mainstream if Tom wasn't a part of it and most of us probably would have never heard of the band. This Message Edited On 11.11.07

If there was no Delonge the band wouldn't exist. It's basically his own project.
| | | Alright, This isn't the worst cover of the decade, but it's a fairly close second to... Weathered by Creed, but it's a close second.
As for the album, or more specifically, the few minutes of this album Ive heard. it's just hilariously crappy.

Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water by Limp Bizkit is the worst.

ok, so if you love blink so much, why are you bothering with this?
well if i love blink, wouldn't it make sense to look at side-projects from the band members?
| | | Album Rating: 4.5
ok, but this is the 2nd album, you obviously didn't like the first one, so what's up with that? If you don't like it, don't talk down to the ones that do.
| | | I had actually never heard the first record save for the song with the word valkyrie in the name. and the adventure i think was the name of the other one.
And I'm not talking down to anyone, I merely stated my opinion. Albeit, I'll give you that I was obvious with the fact that I despise this record. Why do 50% of sputnik users take differing opinions like mortal treason? Jesus tapdancing Christ.

Because you can't let go of the fact that blink is gone. Listen to what they already have put out, there aren't going to be anymore.

I can let go of the fact that blink is gone, nor did I even mention MISSING blink. I just said that I love blink and you can't slip a blink riff by me without me noticing. Honestly, this astounds me. I really don't feel like arguing, so if you wanna go ahead and you know... not, that'd be great.

ok, gotcha....cool pic by the way, who is that?
| | | Lol, devin townsend.
| | | (I actually made an account to comment on this review)
I dont know why you even bothered in writing this review, anyone serious enough about Dragon Force to put them in your avatar cannot be interested in this type of music. And would of course find it boring. Which is strange because if you really enjoy dragon force you really enjoy anything that fast and not real "composed" music. But getting back on topic and not how much of a blithering moron you are, lets talk about your review. What keeps me up at night is that people like you who know so about music review it. You claim that Everythings Magic is exactly like Anthem Pt. 2, well I and anyone else who has picked up a guitar knows that they are nothing a like at all.. First off they are in different keys; they dont even have the same sound. Not only that, they arent even the same shape anthem part 2 is going back and forth between two alternated notes, Everythings magic is not even close to that, it has a completely different pattern. That and the timing you are about 50 yards from being anywhere near correct.
You also compare I-Empire to some Fall out Boy album, which lets me know that taste is music is not very broad. You really dont know anything about music but you feel like you must give shitty reviews to bands which are not your taste of music. Do everyone a favor and stop reviewing music you never liked in the first place.
To sum this up because im done talking about how much of a unintelligible writer you are, you dont know anything about the music that you are reviewing, why are you even doing this? Stick to your metal reviews because thats probably the only thing that your simple mind can handle. And i apologize you cant appreciate music with out insane distortion and cheesey vocals with extreme effects on it.
(PS dont try writing back because i wont check. i win, you lose. quit life.. )

| | | Haha. Moonlighthomo. There's always a reminder somewhere of a completely hypocritical, nonsensical, just flat-out misguided and unconstructive fanboy.
"they arent even the same shape anthem part 2 is going back and forth between two alternated notes"
I find it quite ironic when people use the words "key" followed by "shape". You mean chord, right? Also, two notes is disturbingly simple. Go study classical for a few years, then try talking about composition. This Message Edited On 11.13.07

^^ hahaha quoted for truth, i mean i like this album but whoa i'm not breakin my balls to defend it.
| | | I really couldn't care less one way or another but nine classic ratings? Seriously? Nine??
| | | Album Rating: 3.5
There's a classic rating for Soulja Boy....

Wow. MoonlightHomo? Ouch. I'm hurting!
Let's see...
1. DragonForce have more depth, speed, and talent than DeLonge has ever had. Not just their speed, their unique riffage, vocalist, and 'video game' influenced sounds are attractive, as well as their ass kicking solos.
2. Actually, I play guitar. And, Anthem Pt. 2 is a song I can play. The Everything's Magic chords and riffs are exactly the same as Anthem Pt. 2's, with a bit different key and a slight change in the rhythm.
3. I did like Angels and Airwaves. We Don't Need to Whisper kicked my ass for about...let's say, a week. Then it got old really quick. And I used to love DeLonge and Blink-182 (Blink-182's ST is one of my favorites of all time). I'm disappointed in DeLonge, he's much better than this album's end result.
4. Fall Out Boy and Angels and Airwaves both attract the same type of listener: 15-year old scene girls and punk guys. So naturally they're compared.
5. Metal has a lot more depth than I-Empire, which mostly consists of metallic riffs, aggressive vocals, refined production, sped-up drumming, and EXCELLENT band members, where AVA barely adds any more than cheap, shallow, familiar keyboards, repetitive riffs, pre-pubescent vocals, and drumming Meg White could pull off.
6. Lastly, I'm under the assumption that you're a mindless AVA fanboy who can't see the forest for the trees. Your favorite band has completely failed at life, you have no life at school, you enjoy Crank That Soulja Boy, and DeLonge is fading into oblivion. You have no life other than to attack reviewers who point out all the miscues the band has made in their latest album, which was rushed, repetitive, and overly boring.
I win. Game over. You suck at life.
