Yea I agree... you seriously underrated them but I guess you interpret this stuff differently, I'm not trying to bash you or anything. More people need to know about this album

Oh and Crimson, thanks for introducing me to to one of the finest melodic death metal releases I have heard. I usually like faster and heavier stuff... but this, I just love it, after I read your Raintime and Dimension Zero reviews I thought I'd check what else you like and then I found this. Thank you very much =D

Twelve year olds being more mature than seventeen year olds?

Yep. I do think this will be something that appeals to me greatly. I'll hunt it down somewhen.

That's because it's awesome. So, I was talking to them about how their new album was coming along, and this is what they sent me:

Yeah, I've noticed that the Sputnik review has had some really positive comments. Thanks for writing it man!

Okay, here's an update: 3 songs complete with lyircs. Another song complete but still needing lyrics. A further 2 songs about 50% complete. So overall the next album is maybe 70% written. The music is really exciting, I can't wait to get this thing out there. We're negotiating with a couple of smallish labels but the good news is that we should definitely have *some* kind of label support, and distribution, for this next album.[/quote]This Message Edited On 02.17.08

Youtube is loading extremely slow for me, I heard the first one fine, last two took a while to load so only heard just about half. I'm loving what I heard. I want the new album now.

This album is really close to getting a 5 from me...

Can I say it one more time without getting beat? lol

This album sounds like the 2nd or 3rd offering from a mature, seasoned band. This is their debut O_O. I'm still in complete shock about that. I'm sure this isn't the first time a band's debut blew people away (I've heard a lot of similar praise for DT's The Gallery) but this was the first I'd personally experienced. asdemonsburn told me about them ages ago, and now I see a scary resemblance between this and 12 Ablaze (released 2001). Someone get the album and you'll notice the similarities, one of the most prominent similarity would be "Ensheild My Hate Eternal" by Elysian Fields and "Neither Shape Nor Shadow" from about 2:25.

Dunno what to think, I do prefer Be'lakor more but... it sounds too similar

Alright, half way through it, and I'm not sure. They do have some similarities (the occasional maiden-asque harmonies, and some of the slower breaks are somewhat similar) but there are also a lot of differences. For one, they don't play the same genre really, they seem more symphonic black metal to me than melodic death. The symphonics in the album don't really sound like something Be'lakor would do, and there's a lot of tremolo riffing which Be'lakor don't do either.

But yeah, I can see where you're coming from, they do sound somewhat similar, but I don't see the 'scary resemblance' though. They do sound like a pretty good band though.

I found the intro to Ensheild My Hate Eternal just like 2:25 Neither Shape Nor Shadow, kinda sounds stolen

I'll ask them about it, see if they've even heard of the band.
