The first time I tried to listen to this album, I couldn't get passed Scream. I just couldn't.

The second time, I got up to Unbound.

The third time, I got through the entire thing...and wanted to off myself.

Why god...why?

^^Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to quote M. Shadows.

And seriously, is it me, or does the song "Dear God" remind anyone else of Creed? I swear they stole that beginning riff from them. ...And everything else.

Dear God is worse than Creed.

(although I realize now that I should have trusted people when they told me Decemberunderground sucked ***).
It's the same situation tbh. Good band releases terrible album

Yea I totally agree with the reviewer here, it feels like they got rich and half assed this album.

I LOVE this band, one of my favorites, but why did they have to go and do this to me? They need to get back to making good music, ie Shadows compliments the guitar work, not vice versa like they tried to do with this album.

Hah. I feel compelled to share my brother's comment (He was an avid Avenged Sevenfold fan. Keyword being was.) "These guys should respect Avenged Sevenfold; Scott Stapp is out there trying to write great music and whether or not....wait a minute. Something felt off with that statement."

This album is awesome. You guys gave it a horribly idiotic review. It's some of their best stuff yet. Little Piece of Heaven is a absolute classic, and Scream and Gunslinger are awesome tracks as well. Just an idiotic review for a amazing album.

I'm not sure what's funnier; the fanboys who trash the well written reviews, or the fanboys who go into fanboy crisis when their favorite band releases awful material

Yeah I posted this elsewhere, but A Little Piece of Heaven is the only redeeming point on the album.

ok, um completely stupid..how do you put a quote in your comment?

anyway

jacktiger, youre completely right

im one of the biggest a7x fans ever

but i must admit

"Avenged Sevenfold" is by far the worst album ive ever heard by such a great band. WAYYYY too mainstream for one thing, but also, they lost all the meaning they had back in the STST and WTF days. Back then, it was all about the music, and you could feel it in their songs..now...i have no idea what the fuck its all for...they got popular, and threw together the most meaningless piece of shit ever, knowing that people would love it, just because its them.

Based on the comments here, they were wrong, even the most loyal a7x fans (like me) hate it.

but ive seen their myspace comments, and its pathetic how many people are convinced that this album is great.

I got the leaked version a week before it came out, and it was good for about a day and a half.

then it go old.

and now it sucks.

R.I.P. Avenged Sevenfold...

Ill just keep listening to Wakng the Fallen, hoping that someday soon you decide not to suck again..

Besides the first song, this album pretty much was disapointing. Waking the Fallen was amazing, CoE was very good, this is wow, as mediocre as it gets.

I'm so let down by this crap of an album I hope they are enjoying the cars, houses, and wardrobes they bought with all the money I spent buying their CDs, going to their gigs, buying their merch, and above all buying this horrible, pathetic, emo rock album that they should have released on april fools day because its such a JOKE!

rip a7x i bet it was almost easy become with worst band ever!

cant wait to see you on tour with avril lavigne and hinder
