I never said they were always inhaled.

Despised Icon's recent album is pretty amazing IMO, especially considering the genre it lurks in.

I saw Job For A Cowboy at Sounds of the Underground, they inspired some good moshing but were hardly that entertaining to listen to.

Nice review. I've listened to the whole thing 12 times because its so short, and yet... I can't really remember anything from it.

I've rested on a 2.5, it's not that it's bad, it's just not good.

It really doesn't deserve lower than a 2 or higher than a 3.5 (both are somewhat of a stretch). Anyone who rates lower or higher than those is probably biased.

What made this so good for me, is that this is straight up Death Metal, and yet (imo) it was somewhat catchy, the riffs and the song just got stuck in my head, more and more...As for Doom, it was a good Mosh album but really it got a little redicious with the breakdowns.

This is a good review. Agreed on most of your points, aside from the vocals. The growling is good, yes, but because there is no longer much vocal variation, it's that much easier to get bored with songs also taking into account the recycled feel you mentioned towards the middle-end of the CD.

Fukui nailed it, too. No matter how many times I've attempted to give this CD a chance, I can't remember a single thing of it aside from it being...not very good.

I really think Doom showed that they had potential to do both deathcore and death metal. Entombment of a Machine and The Rising Tide are both easily 3.5/5 in my book, the rest are like...1.5-2/5 though.

I actually read on Cattle Decapitation's forum that Travis talked to the dudes in JFAC alot on the Steers and Beers tour last year (Misery Index headlined) about how deathcore was "inbred" or whatever, and it looks like they listened. I mean, they could possibly come through as a good band in the future but this album doesn't cut it.
