Yeah seriously, how the fuck do people compare this to black metal, like at all? I'm not going to lie, my first couple spins through I enjoyed it, hence my first shitty review but in no way shape or form is this relatable to b.m.

the point is yea, it doesnt sound like the "true" shit that came out fucking 14 years ago, but when compared to alot of black metal coming out these days it certainly stands out as a good album that brings black metal to a newer generation. And the new cd actually does have elements at times that are similar to or influenced strongly by Emperor.
Its obviously black metal. there isnt any death or core influence and its definitely not just metal. or shit. And if you havent actually spun the new shit several times you really need to stfu and at least go in with an open mind. it sound NOTHING like this ep which you so hate

Never said that "true" black metal only came out 14 years ago.
And the new album is basically a kiddie rip-off of Emperor.
It only took me one listen through of the new album to tell you that it sucked.
I mean if you want to listen to good new black metal go find Rookwood (more-so their demo though their full-length is awesome too) or Arckanum.This Message Edited On 09.09.08

There is no deathcore in this band anymore. Maybe a little bit on this ep, but its a very small influence. I think the completely right way of describing this band is symphonic black metal.
