if he actually wrote the music to his songs then your argument would have merit.

Ozzy has one of the more unique voices of all time. That is all we can ask for nowadays. And he keeps that up in this album.

I loved it. Now, this isn't near his best, but it is still a decent album.

One of the only well structured comments about this album being poor, would be of somebody saying that this cd lacks unity.

The tracks do not seem to fit well together. It is as if the Ozzy crew simply performed good/adequate songs, and stuck them all together on an album.

A good album will have hooks, and leads. I find little hooks in this one.

I believe Ozzy can still do better, and if the crew makes another album, you bet I'm gonna get it.

You only think this is decent and you gave it a 4?

Shindip, why the heck would you listen to an album by an artist or band that you already know you don't like?

Why does everyone hate Black Rain? Every song on it is fantastic. All of the songs have a catchy goodness, cool guitar riffs (except on the songs Lay Your World on Me and Here for You, of course), and strong vocals by Ozzy (sure, they sound different from what they used to, but that's what makes them great). Different is better, and Black Rain is different.

I've heard a few songs off this and they are terrible. It sounds like a producer said "OK Ozzy, here's what you sing, and we do the rest." It's just garbage and it sounds like pop.

It's one of those kind of albums where the popular tunes are the only ones worth listening to in other words a wrong ozzy record altogether.

Well, I'm not a great fan of Ozzy Osbourne and I would never fight people because their opinios are not the same as mine, but I liked this album. In Black Rain, Ozzy tries to make something different from his previous works, experimenting with new musical styles like Industrial Metal. Now some songs like the title track have keyboard solos rather than guitar solos.

Far from being an amazing record however Not Going Away, I Don't Wanna Stop, Black Rain or Trap Door are cool songs.

Sounds like Black Label Society.
