DM hasnt been blastbeated to death. A few bands have blastbeated themselves to death, but DM as a whole isn't really dying because of blastbeats...

I thought the new Behemoth album was DM of the year until I learned Monstrosity came out with a new one. =D

BTW Cocaine, I noticed your DP is the new Sigh album. Great stuff, they are. Are you catching them on their tour with Mayhem?

100% for sure. My review of Hangman's Hymn is being tweaked right this moment actually.

Can't wait to see it. I absolutely love that album. The high-pitched laughs totally caught me off-guard when I first heard it.

Anywho, to be on topic, I think this is Monstrosity's best work to date. Of course, nothing they've released is below solid.

I love this album, for its precision. It's hasn't got the wow-factor though. This Message Edited On 07.02.07

UGH I can't believe this isn't on fye.com

They usually have everything except self-released demos or stuff from local distribution labels.

I find it sloppy and uninspired. Solos are pretty good, though. Firestorm is definitely the best in an album that's actually mediocre. I much prefer Rise to Power. That at least had decent riffs.

The only song I liked was Firestorm. The rest are boring and plodding. I don't know why but the vocals remind me of a buffalo burping. As is the case with many of this year's big name releases, this was something I was looking forward to but manges to thoroughly disappoint me.

Is this not being distributed in the US? I can't find it anywhere and all the US sites I look at have this listed as an import...

I should get this. I've heard they snag a huge influence from Slayer.
