God Only Knows that Surf's Up is the better song
RS never really did it for me aside from Between the Buttons, Let It Bleed and Exile.

Yeah those are good as well as Aftermath. They have some good songs, but not a single album that I want to listen to all the way through. Like I don't mind the Beatles being considered the best band, but RS? The Beach Boys, The Who, and The Kinks are all better, and that's just the 60s.

I generally just regard them as a singles band, who were more in their element live.

^ yeah minus Student Demonstration Time, this album is very moody. It's pretty different from other Beach Boys albums and definitely the antithesis of their surf period.
