Who would have thought their definitive masterpiece would come after the front man leaves and Fran becomes the only vocalist; resulting in not their softest, but their heaviest album. Fucking insane man. In addition, this is one of my favorite political/social commentary albums of all time.

Pioneers is one of the best examples of poppy catchy post hardcore. I also submit that the guitar riff sounds very definitive within the genre. Those chords and types of harmonics were so prevalent. But they managed to turn it into a good song and not a generic cash-in. Nice
