Nah, opinions change overtime. Haven't you ever picked up an album that blew you away the moment you first heard it, then some time later you realized that the album had no replay value? This Message Edited On 08.10.08

That happened to me with so many bands... Lamb of God, System of a Down, A7x.... basically, the mainstream metal bands. Guess I am not surprised.

Then again, I had the opposite effect with Mastodon. I hated them at first, but they are one of my favorites now.

I'm really digging a few songs off this and The Morning Never Came. I'm finally starting to understand why Doom metal is so great.
the song i heard by these guys (think it was "don't fall asleep") was nothing like doom metal...is the rest of the album doom? This Message Edited On 08.10.08

the last song and too cold for tears definantly are if you're thinking more traditional genre-wise, other than that the rest of the album wouldn't necessarily be doom as you're thinking of it

I dunno, I can't tell what you're thinking lol

It's amazing how rapidly this album grew off me. Don't Fall Asleep is a cool video and song, i'll give it that but this ages like un-refrigerated milk. New release wasn't that great either, not suprising to me at least.

The Morning Never Came was slightly better but STS doesn't really satisfy my doom craving.

balls...agree totally with how it doesn't really have very good lasting power. Haven't listened to this in ages...a bit too boring. "The Empty skies" still deserves a listen from time to time though :P

I'd take Hanging Graden over these guys, ick, what a dissapointign album. Ona brighter note, the video and song for Don't Fall Asleep is pretty tight. As for Fall music, i got my trusty Insomnium, Agalloch, and Drudkh by my side.
