dude, Silent Alarm is the best british album since, well you don't like Radiohead so best british album since The Queen Is Dead
|
| |
Hrm, I might have to listen to this.
|
| |
This album is criminally underrated.
|
| |
Fucking good album, can't wait to hear what they're working on at the moment

Will they release a record this year still?

We can only hope. Did you guys like Intimacy as much as me? That album was unfairly flamed imo.

Intimacy is their best, imo.
I've never experienced the same feeling again the first time I heard it with another album.

Intimacy is pretty rad

Couldn't quite dig Intimacy as much as the first two but it's still a 4 for me.

This has just reminded me that I still haven't heard Intimacy... even though I enjoyed these two.

Dude it's a good record I think you'll enjoy it, bit more electronic influence than the first two

This really conveys what it's like to live in the suburbs of London
|
| |
Yeah, or any big city really.
There was a sense of disappointment, as we left the mall.
All the young people looked the same.
Great CD and a great band.

Silent Alarm is great but the lyrics on this one feel like they have much more weight and substance.
"I was an ordinary man, with ordinary desires.
I watched tv, it informed me."
"Drink to forget your blues on the weekend,
think about more things to buy."
"I could have been a hero."
I loved Silent Alarm, but it almost feels like a feel good album when compared to this. This album just "clicked" a few
weeks ago and I am really digging the hell out of this right now.
