okay just finished my yearly listen of this
falls off after the first 8 tracks or so but those are still easily enough to put it above doolittle, which has become massively overrated along with pixies in general. from a production standpoint this has aged a lot better as well. feels way more powerful and distinct

| |
there's only 2 or 3 songs on doolittle that i still actually like or would ever want to listen to so it's an easy choice for me

This is exponentially better than Doolittle
And Doolittle is fucking great, so that's really saying something

The Pixies kick ass in general; everyone is different and have their own opinions. Besides, it's all really subjective. As for myself, I'm going to have to go with Doolittle on this one. And I'm not saying there was anything wrong with Come on Pilgrim or Surfer Rosa, I just feel that Doolittle was their prime; it was the production of growth as a band and their first big studio production. They focused their sound and created some pretty kick ass sounds. But, you know, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and that is mine. If you're with me, CAN I GET AN AMEN?

Doolittle owns this. Better production...more variance, better songs....no studio chatter filler...
