Good call on those lyrics. "Little Child" is silly but the "I'm so sad and lonely" hook gets me everytime, nothing much outside of it though, agreed.

This I can't agree with. The opening guitar line sets a very bittersweet mood which is then carried throughout the song with the backing choirs and driving chorus hook, there's no way I can see it as stupid or cheesy

The songwriting and attention to detail on this record is much improved over the debut. There is also a lot more stylistic changes to help with the pacing but this still has some lyrics that make you roll your eyes from time to time. Still very enjoyable
