if i didn't like this, should i skip to vheissu? or is there no chance that i will like anything by thrice
|
| |
this is nothing like vheissu, alchemy index, beggars or major/minor. there's still some screaming in vheissu, but that's where the similarities end. beggars is like groovy folk/alt rock. you're bound to find something to like in thrice, so definitely check out their later stuff.

Been learning this whole album on guitar lately. Every single song is incredibly fun to play. Nothing is super difficult, but every riff is just awesome. Not too metal, not soft at all. Perfect album.

So I haven't listened to this yet. Is it better than Artist?

Why yes it is.
I love Artist too, but the instrumentation (particularly the guitar work) in this owns.

In case anyone dared to forget, this album fucking rules.

There are some tricky bits (the verse chugging in a Subtle Dagger and the Avenge the Dead verses get
me), but yeah it's really fun

Yeah the guitars on this are fun without being overly technical.
As far as learning difficulty goes... At least its not Periphery.
