I like all of their albums but I've not heard the new one.
So yeah, I'll enjoy it regardless I think.

The new songs are more enjoyable live, IMO. Especially The Long Defeat because the crowd tends to join in on the singing at the end and that turns it into something really special. Obviously you have no idea what song I'm talking about but you will lol. Hurricane and Black Honey are also killer and will likely be permanent additions to their live shows.

If I love this album hard will I like the newest? FWIW I don't really dig pre-vheissu thrice.

It has elements of Vheissu/Alchemy Index/Major Minor but in a more radio friendly package. Thrice is my favorite band of all time and TBEITBN is either worst or second worst, IMO. It has some stellar songs on it and some total turds.

Of course when the vocals start to improve in their career, their music became (/w/o/r/s/e/) mellower. I liked Illusion and Artist, but I'm probably not going to bother with anything after this.

I listened to them tonight, and I'm glad I did because I enjoyed them a lot more than this, especially Fire & Water.

Nah, Major/Minor is right up there with Vheissu as their two best.

Sooo i have not yet listened to these guys but i know for a fact that Dustin Kensrue is a big fan of Cave In (Jupiter especially, which i adore too) and Deftones are listed as a similar artist. Additionally, the album cover gives me Dredg vibes. Are the records before this different?
