The interludes add nothing but the album would be unlistenable without them - your ears would actually bleed. Tbh I get my fill of this off Dream House alone, that song is so good I rarely feel like listening on

I literally haven't listened to this with all the interludes since it came out

I'm pretty sure I skimmed through them immediately on release. does absolutely nothing for the album, and, imo, makes it worse. should've done something similar to Roads of Judah and added more atmosphere to some songs

Really guys? The interludes are pretty good, I've never skipped any.

yep, don't listen to this in full either. dream house and the pecan tree earn the 5 by themselves

damn really. about 2/3 of an album has to be stellar long-term for me to 5 it

some of my favourite songs of all time are on albums I have at 3 or 3.5

Same for me, makes no sense to 5 an album you don't want to listen all the way through. I can kinda see the argument with this as the interludes aren't really songs per se, so you're not discarding essential material, but I'd still feel weird about it.

Tbh this peaks with the first 3 minutes of Dream House but I'm totally okay with that as they're pretty much 3 minutes of perfection

I’m just ready for the decade to be over so I can place this at number 1 on my list. I’ve never been more certain of an album placement.
