Lasssie, I'm guessing/hoping that Planes album you're thinking of is Mercy. Artwork on that is by Cris Crude of pg 99 and Pygmy Lush, one of my favorite illustrators.
Meanwhile, Crisis is an undisputed classic. I definitely need to catch them next time they're in NYC - would be my first after listening for well over a decade.

I was thinking about Prey but now that you mention it i can clearly see Mercy is by the same guy that did pg 99. Thats awesome stuff!
Undisputed classic but it is Watch Out! that i hold closest to my heart! Have they ever played that live in full? I live in norway so i will never experience that unfortunately lol

I've heard of them doing the S/T (it think it was just a hometown show for the 20y anniversary though) in full and now this one but seems like they skipped WO! which is a shame
Stoked for seeing them play this but if I'm honest it would probably still rank about 4th for me in their discog (they're just that good)

This is the one with their most popular songs so i dont blame them for focusing the most on this one

"I definitely need to catch them next time they're in NYC"
been watching like a hawk for another NYC show - I went to their most recent one at Rooftop at Pier 17 which was an awesome vibe/venue but it was like 100 degrees and my wife fainted so we had to leave early sadly. she wont go to another AOF show with me so I don't miss out again haha.

Crisis show in August should be awesome. Hopefully they throw in some rippers from the S/T

This album was Dallas at his absolute best

all three of watch out, this, and OCYC are honestly
it's just that OCYC has more weak tracks and george dipping way into that sub-par vocal style
the hooks on born and raised, the northern, midnight regulations, and emerald street are all top tier dallas though

Yeah George kinda sounds like shit on OCYC unfortunately and I normally love his vocals. I know he changed up his style on purpose but it legit sounds like he recorded that entire album with a bad cold lol
Dallas has always ruled for sure, but dude had the absolute best hooks on this one in particular. Boiled Frogs chorus never leaves my mind

if he mixed the two vocal styles (you can literally hear him screaming crisis-style in the northern) more 50/50 it'd be much better

First 5 tracks are a masterclass when it comes to catchy hooks

If you don't try to hit that "HAAUUUNNNNTEDDD" when you listen to Anywhere In The World then are you even human?

I can't falsetto to save my life but you know I try to hit that shit every time that part comes on lol
@Shadow agreed. OCYC could have been so much better man. Definitely has it bangers tho like the songs you mentioned
