i mean the guitar solo is fine and doesn't detract or whatever, but are rly gonna take a few seconds of noodly frittering over the slickest verse/chorus combo adrianne has laid down since the ufof t/t? lyrics/voc. melodies/phrasing/arp patterns are impeccable on that track, and then the solo kinda waddles in as an obligatory contrast to move things along

That’s exactly why I need it, otherwise the entire song would be Adrienne singing fast non-stop. The guitar is great for adding an interesting element and giving you a quick break from the vocals. Idk

I know the charts don't mean much but this album went top 40 in the US and "Simulation Swarm" is currently building steam on adult alternative stations (#18 at time of writing) - always makes me happy when a great band releases their best album (in this case, a potential classic) and it just so happens to be the one that finally brings them mainstream sales and airplay
