5 spins today? Or since release?
Hahah that's valid, it's been a long time since I spun their earliest stuff.

Yeah I'm probably up around those numbers to Onion lol. I'm kinda forcing myself to turn it off today though. Gotta make myself check out some of the other new releases that I've been meaning to check out. I'm sure I'll be back to this tomorrow. or later today lol.
And yeah, that Scogin feature is perfect.
ALL THIS AND WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR

The average for this is insanely inflated. Album is solid af, really enjoyable, but I wouldn’t go as far as that avg is letting on

@bandito honestly the only reason i havent been jamming it more is bc the scogin feature has sparked a huge chariot/bless the martyr kick for me lol dude is an apeshit vocalist and i never thought id hear him go that hard on anything again

Yep, I feel you. It's making me wanna revisit The Chariot stuff too. Probably get around to that today too haha.

It’s got bangers, sure, but there’s nothing here that would indicate the adulation present here. Still, I don’t wanna be the party pooper, album slaps and the band are incredibly consistent. Don’t think they’ve made an album below a 4/5

here is my ranking.
god tier jams: dark distance, post-boredom, all this and war, thing with feathers, the whip, distress rehearsal
really freakin good: planet shit, a colossal wreck, desperate pleasures, awol, white void, people verses, we go together
also good: sly, hostile architecture, sexsexsex

The Whip, Colossal Wreck and sexsexsex are my jams, the latter appears under-appreciated.
Nothing stands out as being outright forgettable, consistently decent at an absolute minimum.

cannot believe the whip almost didnt make the record the riffs on that song are massive

thing with feathers is prob my least fav here but even that one is still pretty good. just about everything else absolutely rips

yeah its probably the one track that goes the hardest riff wise, its otherworldy.

@gonzo maybe it makes sense within the (sub)genre imo

thing with feathers is my favorite lyrically. the most personal song keith has written imo
when you think about his sister jaclyn who had Rett syndrome, which made communicating with her pretty much impossible, the lyrics are a compassionate tribute to the life she had, now that she's passed, a side of keith we've never seen or heard about really
"In the long dark night of eternal life
You've always been a light"
