Yeah it's somehow even more forgettable than this one. Which is weird because there are probably more interesting individual moments but the overall experience is just so flat.

Gonna listen to it today after work but I expect a lack of riffs and lots of simplistic song structures.

Yeah, almost all riffs sound the same and Stanne is really going through the motions. The album also really lacks leads with personality. At least with Moment they had Christopher Amott and he gave the album a lot of life with his solos. The only track on Endtime Signals that has any standout riffs and solos is A Bleaker Sun, everything else is dull.

There are more riffs than here Crysis, but they're just less memorable lol.

it's not bad, but it's just a continuation of what they've been doing over the past couple albums. I like it as much as I like the last two. There are some standout tracks, but this is my least favorite era of DT

Unforgivable is a great track and Not Nothing is memorable for me. A lot of the album made me want to press skip. Possibly worse than Moment as a whole but really not drastically different in overall atmosphere and appeal. Somewhere between a 3 and a 3.5 after one listen, but some tracks are very off-putting.

Nothing will ever return these guys to the glory days of records like Character and Fiction, but at this point, I am on board with their new direction: the big textured sections, Stanne's back and forth crooning/harsh approach, and the fact that most of the band is gone at this point, leaning into the goth stuff more and more...

After one listen, I can't justify forming any sort of opinion yet. My family is about to head out on vacation for some hiking in the white mountains and the like, so we will have plenty of time to sink our teeth into this, after which I will report back with a rating.

I still think Not Nothing is one of the best tunes they have produced in years, and the only head-scratcher for me after one listen was the two-song section in the middle - the first tune lifts a bunch of Amon Amarth material wholesale, and the the ballad after that was a bit of a slog, with Brandstrom's synth parts really drowning everything else out. Those seemed like a couple of throwaway songs to me, but I otherwise enjoyed the record for the most part.

As usual, I will interested to hear Kyle's take, as I always enjoy his reviews and mini-reviews.

Take it easy Sputs, I am off to the mountains!

This has grown on me a lot recently.

It really hits the spot when I want DT, but mellow. Really nice to just lie on the sofa and chill to this album.

This is so much better than the new album. Not too sure if it quite deserves a 4 but it at least multiple bangers.
